8 parties and who knows how many dresses (and 1 jumper!) White House Correspondents Dinner weekend is over. I’m so glad this only happens once a year. It is exciting and utterly exhausting all at the same time. Here’s a sampling of where we were.. who we saw and how much fun it was seeing the world of politics and Hollywood collide.
We kicked things off Thursday night at the Ritz-Carlton Washington DC for a private dinner hosted by The Creative Coalition, Elle Magazine and Lanmark Technologies .The awesome Alex Wagner of MSNBC and Norah O’Donnell from CBS were honored as leading women in media. Thank you to April Firoozabadi for the wonderful fashion styling for the weekend! (Photos by Allison Priebe Brooks, Pamela Sorensen, Paul Moretti)

Friday night it was tres’ party time. First stop the Turkish Embassy for The Hill party. Then it was off to the W Hotel for the very fun Google/Hollywood Reporter bash. The night ended on L street for the Funny or Die 1st Amendment Party where Charlize showed up.

Saturday after anchoring the morning shows I met my girlfriend Pamela Brown at the WHCD brunch hosted by Tammy Haddad. It was a bit chilly… but still a great time. Lilo was there with her lawyer and Kris Jenner. We also spotted Woody Harrelson who I loved in the Hunger Games and Game Change.

Saturday night we stopped by Capitol File’s party at the Newseum. Spotted were NBC’s Matt Glassman, Eun Yang and Doug Kammerer. We then finished the night at MSNBC’s party at the Italian Embassy.

From the Vanity Fair party.. one of the cutest couples ever! Mark and Kelly!
And finally “the day after” arrived! I still had to do the shows Sunday morning. David Gregory joined us on set and said he too was feeling a little tired after a long night. It was good to know I was not alone in having to work the next day. After the show it was off to the Hay-Adams. John McLaughlin was hosting his famous Sunday brunch on the roof. The view was great as were the eggs benedict!
